Evergreen Vision
There was a millionaire who was bothered by severe eye pain. He consulted so many physicians and was getting his treatment done. He did not stop consulting galaxy of medical experts; he consumed heavy loads of drugs and underwent hundreds of injections.
But the ache persisted with great vigour than before. At last a monk who has supposed to be an expert in treating such patients was called for by the millionaire. The monk understood his problem and said that for sometime he should concentrate only on green colours and not to fall his eyes on any other colours.
The millionaire got together a group of painters and purchased barrels of green color and directed that every object his eye was likely to fall to be painted in green colour just as the monk had directed.
When the monk came to visit him after few days, the millionaire's servants ran with buckets of green paints and poured on him since he was in red dress, lest their master not see any other colour and his eye ache would come back.
Hearing this monk laughed said "If only you had purchased a pair of green spectacles, worth just a few rupees, you could have saved these walls and trees and pots and all other articles and also could have saved a large share of his fortune.
You cannot paint the world green." Let us change our vision and the world will appear accordingly. It is foolish to shape the world, let us shape ourselves first.
Lets change our vision..!!

Valuable Teachings of Sri Amma Bhagavan
| Consciousness is the playground where the higher and lower conscious are at play. Your choice aligns you to the higher or the lower consciousness. Intent + Effort + Grace = Success. When you are focussed all things fall into place. Prayer is like an itch you send up the body of God. The best form of prayer is gratitude. Yad bhavam, tad bhavati - as you feel so shall it be. Prosperity and poverty begins with thought. All resistance to truth is because of failure of intelligence. Life is what you make of it - a school, a battlefield or a playground. A happy person creates a happy world while an unhappy person createsan unhappy world. Life is primarily governed by two needs - the need to love and the need to be loved. Life is relationships. The destructive tendencies of the lower conscious are silenced throughthe blessings of your parents. Judgement and evaluatory processes cause suffering in relationships. Your children inherit not only what you earn but also what you are. Trying to pin point blame is like peeling an onion; you land up nowhere. Love thyself to love thy neighbour. Genuine affection is to be affected A family that plays together, prays together and dines together stays together will obtain full grace. You reap what you sow but many times over. Fear is only in the anticipation, never in the actual. A breakdown state creates a breakdown reality while a breakthroughstate creates a breakthrough reality Do not let the situation determine your state let your state determinethe situation. You Co-create your destiny with God. |
Coffee!
This is a really nice one! You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see." "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied. Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, Mother?" Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water. "Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
Think of this:
Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart? Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

SELF CREATED SUFFERING
It was lunch time at the factory and a workman opened his lunch box dolefully. "Oh! No", he said aloud, "Brinjals and Dal again!"
This happened a second, third and fourth day. Then a co-worker who had heard the mutterings of the man said, "If you hate Brinjals and Dal so much, why don't you get your wife to make some other types?"
"Because I am not married. I make the Dal and Brinjals my self."
Does the word "Self-created-miseries" ring a bell?
Sri Bhagavan says, "Most of human suffering is only self-created miseries. Life is naturally occurring but you make even a simple incident complex. Once an image forms in your mind that my wife doesn't love me, even an eye movement is enough to drive you into frenzy. Consider the case of a young man who was sacked from his job. He thought of living with his friend whom he had helped out once before. He was happy with these thoughts until he was assailed by another thought that said, "What makes you so sure that he will have you with him?"
"Why wouldn't he", said he heatedly to the thought, "after all it was I who advanced him the money to pay his rent for the first six months, surely the least he could do is put me up for a week." That settled the matter until after dinner, the thought again peeped, "If suppose he refuses..."
"Refuse?" said the young man. "Why in God's name would he refuse? The man owes me everything he has. It is I who got him his job; who introduced him to that lovely wife of his, who has borne him three sons he glories in. Will he grudge me a room for a week? Impossible!"
That settled the matter until he got to bed and found he couldn't sleep. The thought continued to stay, "How the hell could he refuse? If he is alive today it is because of me. I have saved him from drowning when he was a kid. He wouldn't be ungrateful."
But the thought was persistent "Just suppose..." Poor man struggled with in as long as he could. Finally he got out of the bed around two in the morning went over to where his friend lived and kept his finger pressed against the door bell button till the friend, half asleep, opened the door and said in astonishment, "What is it! What brings you here in the middle of the night?" The young man was so angry by now he couldn't stop himself from yelling, "I'll tell you what brings me here at this hour of the night! If you think I am going to ask you to put me up even for a single day, you are mistaken. I don't want to have anything to do with you. To hell with you." With that he turned to his heel and turned away.
See this event in your relationships? Maybe in varying degrees? As long as the mind is alive you cannot but relate to your own mind and its images and hence create suffering for your self.
Sri Bhagavan says, "To be Enlightened is to relate to reality and not to your interpretation of reality."
Unless you are rod of your mind, your life would be repetition of the above-mentioned incident.
Is it really possible Bhagavan, to be really free of the ego and still function in the world; still be successful in the world; still be a part of this competitive life, Bhagavan?
Sri Bhagavan:
Yes! Infact if you are free of the ego, you would be extremely successful. So, what we have to distinguish between is, The Self and The Ego. Self is an ambition. The will to fight it out. The will to achieve. Now, we are not talking of those things here. The Ego on the other hand makes you positional. When you become positional, you don't understand what the other person is talking. There is no listening. Hence, there is no learning. Therefore you have every chance of losing. You have every chance of losing a business order. You have every chance of losing a good employee. You have every chance of losing a good insight. That way the ego proves to be very harmful for corporate success. Here, you must know we are not talking of the self. The Self must very much be there; if you want to achieve success in the world. We are not talking about that. We are talking of the Ego and its games, which is harmful in the process of achieving success. So, you must learn to distinguish between the two.
Summary :-
Of course, "self" is an illusion. In the inner world it separates man from god.
In the inner world we must dissolve the self by becoming free from it.
In the inner world you can become free from the self only when you could see the different portions of the self.
That is the reason Bhagavan says, "To see is to be free". But in the external world we need to handle it differently. We have to use the "self" for our existence. So, self is helpful to reach a particular position in the external world. Here things are going wrong with many people. They are excessively projecting their self and so it is leading to the formation of ego.
So "self" should not exist in your inward journey (journey towards god). You are only a "athman" (soul) and you are a part of "paramathman" (supreme soul). There the self should completely dissolve and only then it is possible for you to achieve "Oneness State".
But in the external world you need to achieve success for which the "self" will be very much helpful. The portions of the self like intelligence, emotional intelligence, creativity, technical skills, interacting with people (Communication skills), passion etc can be used for reaching a particular position. After reaching that particular position, again you need to utilize the same portions of the "self" for your survival but if you use negative portions like pride, arrogance etc., then it leads to ego due to which you will end up in failure.
What can we do as individuals in the face of inhuman violence, terrorism?"
Bhagvan:
We wake up to another day’s revenge, retribution and rancor. The violence and brutality that surrounds us is the result of the destructive effect of fragmentation – one individual against another, one group against another, religiously, socially, culturally and economically. We are brothers and sisters, children of the same mother, inheritors of the same collective destiny. What we do to another, we do to ourselves. Why then do we behave as though we are inhuman warring tribal factions? How can we hunt or kill another? Is not the experience of pain same for all? Do not all living beings dread fear? How then can we perpetrate violence and pain on another? Will we today take the time to teach our children that division in any name whether sacred or secular is a crime? Will we tell them that we are human beings and not labels that divide us? Will we in this moment of crisis mould their young minds to be citizens of the world and not narrow bigots?
Ideological differences are at the root of the violence that is robbing sanity and endangering survival. When we become concerned with our own individual survival, with the survival of our group, our belief, we are being divisive and threaten the actual survival of the whole.
Let us have a deeper insight into truth. The violence and conflict we are witnessing is a dramatization of the unspeakable inner violence of humanity. We are not individuals, separate. What happens to us happens to all of humanity, all of life. Physically we might live isolated in our secluded homes, screening our domestic violence from the eyes of the world but psychologically we are inseparable from the whole of mankind. The poisonous fumes of our inner turbulence seep through the collective consciousness of humanity. The violence within us, between parents and children, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters and at work is the very source of danger and destruction.
Let each one of us respond with a sense of immediacy. Let all of us, the atheist and the God fearing, the peasant at the plough and the mother beside the cradle, the office goer and the laborer, let us all own responsibility for what is happening around us. What ‘can’ we do as individuals now? What ‘must’ we as individuals do now?
How can each of us be content to see some heroes and professionals sacrificing their lives to protect the safety of others while we remain passive onlookers watching the drama of terror unfold right in front of our eyes? The specialists, whether from the armed forces or the political systems can alleviate the pain of the moment. They can remove the symptom but the cause of the violence lies simmering within our consciousness. It lurks as conflict, suppressed anger, divisiveness and spite within every one of us. Until this issue is addressed, violence would continue to unfold in the world’s nations in one name or the other. The real solution therefore is to turn our attention inward, can we recognize the violence within and give way to peace. Even if 10 million among us who belong to a nation of 1 billion will get into peace, violence will subside. If 10 millions will move into a higher state of consciousness, a state of total inner non-violence, peace and wellbeing would be possible. Though the causes of violence would continue to exist, they will not translate into acts of violence. We are the triggers of violence or peace. We cannot return to business as usual without steering away from our own inner strife. The destiny of every human being known and unknown is tied up with us. In the crucible of terror that surrounds us, let us recast ourselves into a new generation of human beings. Let us move from the dark night of division towards the dawn of co-operation and Oneness. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
What should I do if it has to stay put at one point?
Bhagavan:
"See, the mind, breath and kundalini form a triangle. If you tamper with one you'll be tampering the other two. Suppose the breath is not constant or steady, the mind also will not be constant and
steady.
Similarly if the kundalini is vibrating too much, then also the mind will be unstable. Kundalini will start vibrating depending on the temperature, air pressure, depending on the kind of people around, depending on the food you've eaten, the clothes you are wearing - so many factors.
So as the kundalini is vibrating, the mind also becomes unsteady and becomes unfocused. So also is breath. In fact breath is a crucial element and most people do not even know how to breathe. That's why I often say that, children must be taught in school as to how to really breathe.
When this is done, you'll actually find that the mind becomes steadied. Without setting right these two things the mind will be very very shaky. And of course if you are not able to do these things, you can very well ask me inside and I will steady it. And you'll have a very focused mind. It's not very difficult to achieve."
Bhagavan:
"When we use the word surrender what we mean is that you should understand that this mind cannot really help you and that you have to get beyond the mind. If you let go of the mind, that letting go is what we call, surrender. You must realize that the human mind is limited and there is no use wasting your time with the mind. It is only going to create obstacles for you.
If you can see that, the mind would stop interfering. If that happens, then we say you have surrendered. That is all. It is not some kind of slavish surrender. It is never used in that sense. God would not like you to surrender like a slave. He is after all your friend. So, when we use the word surrender it means putting aside the mind, knowing its limitations.
You discover surrender when you feel you are helpless. When you feel you are totally helpless you will discover surrender. That is when Grace comes pouring. Imagine that you are struck on the railway line and the train rushing at you, then you will certainly surrender! Many people have surrendered to me like that. Most people surrender only in dire moments. That is why miracles too happen only in those moments."
Bhagavan:
"All these thoughts come from the thought sphere. The thought sphere is as old as man and every single thought of every being that has ever been on this planet, is recorded there and it is still there. These thoughts are flowing into and out of you. What thoughts are flowing inside you and what thoughts are flowing out of you depends on your health condition, the place in which you are staying, the people around you and many other factors.
It is like tuning into a television channel. There are so many channels there and you could tune in to any channel. If you tune into a channel called negative thoughts, you will be getting so many negative thoughts. If you tune into a channel called violent thoughts, you will be getting those thoughts.
Once you get this insight that you are not your thoughts, and these thoughts are not yours, then strangely you will find that you tune into a channel which is broadcasting silence and you receive that silence. Otherwise you would be getting these thoughts and they are as old as man.
They are not your thoughts. Some body could have had fear ten thousand years ago as he was being been chased by a tiger. That thought could now enter you. It would not be fear of the tiger but it would be fear of the share market. But the same fear comes into you like that. Once you realize that your thoughts are not your thoughts, you could actually see how they are coming, how they are flowing through you and then you become very detached. That is how you could be free of these things."
Bhagavan:
"See, the mind is a very good businessman. It naturally does what is profitable to it. What is not profitable to it, it does not do. When you do not accept something, the first thing is, it's a fact that it is there.
You cannot wish it away. By fighting with it, you are creating a lot of conflict. By conflict there is a lot of dissipation of energy. When energy is being lost you become unhappy and also you become a failure. On the other hand, if you accept what ever is there, there is no conflict. No conflict means there is no wastage of energy. When energy is still, there is no movement of energy as wastage. That becomes joy and happiness. It leads to greater success. If you can see this whole process, then naturally you'll accept because it is a better choice for you. You cannot do unprofitable things. Somehow you are imagining that if you fight with it, it is good. Therefore you fight with it.
When you observe that fighting is not profitable, the mind naturally will drop it. You must see how all the fighting is not profitable to you then it's all over. It is very simple but because you are not used to this observation, the situation is going to be difficult.
But once you learn it, it is as easy as breathing but, until then, it looks "Oh! how am I going to do it ?". It takes some effort and understanding. Still it will be difficult but, I am there! If you know how to ask me, I can make you actually do it."
Bhagavan:
"According to the natural principle, there is nothing you could do about them, except to become more observant, to become more aware that they are there. If you try to fight with them or to push them out, they will become powerful. All fights with negative thoughts must be avoided.
The more you fight, the stronger they become. The only way is to realize that they are there and then accept them. Just accept the truth. Because the truth is that, they are there. How could you deny that? By accepting them, they become weaker. As they become weaker, they have a chance that they would slowly fade out. So, please try to avoid all fight, all struggle with negative emotions.
And as you gradually go into it, you will realize that they are not your negative emotions but, they are just there in the thought sphere and it so happens that your brain is picking them up. They are not your negative thoughts, that is why we say - They are just thoughts, like that building is there, they are there.
They are not your thoughts but humanity's thoughts. And you will soon become free of them. This is the process that takes place in the courses at the Oneness University. Through our Deekshas here it becomes a very tangible experience to you and you no more identify with the thoughts as your thoughts. The present negativity that is within you ceases thereafter."
Bhagavan:
"You live in a world where the whole system is so structured. See, your negative thoughts are not your thoughts. That’s the fundamental teaching of the Dharma. So, like in TV depending onthe channel you are switching on, you attract certain programs.
In this thought sphere there are also both negative and positive programs. Depending on the way your chakras are aligned, you start attracting negative thoughts. If the channel is changed, you start attracting positive thoughts.
So, you are not really responsible for that, as you tend to blame your self. As I told you, you are like a robot, a computer. You are being programmed continuously from the thought sphere or the earth’s magnetic field. So, if you do certain kind of dhyanas (practices), we can realign the chakras, whereby it will automatically turn into positive thoughts.
One terrible thing is the media of today. In the newspaper and magazines they must also publish positive things. But everywhere they talk only about accidents, murder, looting, cheating. The whole thing is negative. As these inputs are going into you, the chakras acquire a specific kind of alignment. Thereafter you start turning only to the negative things in the thought sphere. That is the problem with our society. You must talk more positive things. You must have newspapers where there will be separate pages only for positive things or TV channels where they will be allotted only for positive news. If that goes on, the chakras will be realigned.
That’s why you must speak positively to children and not allow them to see all kinds of TV programs, newspapers and magazines. Because that is a part of the problem."
THE STORY OF A PENCIL
In this post i want to share with a story of a pencil..
Before going into the story i want to share with u a great saying in sanskrit,
It says,
Yaadrushi Bhavana Tasya siddhirbhavathi Taadrushi
Its mean
EXTERNAL WORLD IS THE REFLECTION OF INTERNAL WORLD
A boy was watching his grandmother write a letter. At one point, he asked:
'Are you writing a story about what we've done? Is it a story about me?
His grandmother stopped writing her letter and said to her grandson:
'I am writing about you, actually, but more important than the words is the pencil I'am using. I hope you will be like this pencil when you grow up.'
Intrugued, the boy looked at the pencil. It didn't seem very special.
'But it's just like any other pencil I've ever seen!'
'That depends on how you look at things. It has five qualities which, if you manage to hang on to them, will make you a person who is always at peace with the world.'
First quality: You are capable of great things, but you must never forget that there is a hand guiding your steps. We call that hand God, and He always guides us according to His will.
Second quality: Now and then, I have to stop writing and use a sharpener. That makes the pencil suffer a little, but afterwards, he's much sharper. So you, too, must learn to bear certain pains and sorrows, because they will make you a better person.
Third quality: The pencil allways allows us to use an eraser to rub out any mistakes. This means that correcting something we did, is not necessarily a bad thing; it helps to keep us on the road to justice.
Fourth quallity: what really matters in a pencil is not its wooden exterior, but the graphite inside. So always pay attention to what is happening inside you.
Finally, the pencil's fifth quality: it always leaves a mark. In just the same way, you should know that everything you do in life will leave a mark, so try to be consious of that in your every action.
The Elephant and the Fly
I this post I want to share with an inspirational story...
A disciple and his teacher were walking through the forest. The disciple was disturbed by the fact that his mind was in constant unrest.
He asked his teacher: "Why most people's minds are restless, and only a few possess a calm mind? What can one do to still the mind?"
The teacher looked at the disciple, smiled and said:
"I will tell you a story. An elephant was standing and picking leaves from a tree. A small fly came, flying and buzzing near his ear. The elephant waved it away with his long ears. Then the fly came again, and the elephant waved it away once more".
This was repeated several times. Then the elephant asked the fly:
"Why are you so restless and noisy? Why can't you stay for a while in one place?"
The fly answered: "I am attracted to whatever I see, hear or smell. My five senses pull me constantly in all directions and I cannot resist them. What is your secret? How can you stay so calm and still?"
The elephant stopped eating and said:
"My five senses do not rule my attention. Whatever I do, I get immersed in it. Now that I am eating, I am completely immersed in eating. In this way I can enjoy my food and chew it better. I rule and control my attention, and not the other way around."
Upon hearing these words, the disciple's eyes opened wide and a smile appeared on his face. He looked at his teacher and said:
"I understand! If my five senses are in control of my mind and attention, then my mind is in constant unrest. If I am in charge of my five senses and attention, then my mind becomes calm".
"Yes, that's right", answered the teacher, " The mind is restless and goes wherever the attention is. Control your attention, and you control your mind".
TEAM WORK
In this post I want to share with a valuable lesson about TEAM WORK
Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who was faster. They decided to settle the argument with a race. They agreed on a route and started off the race. The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for sometime. Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he'd sit under a tree for sometime and relax before continuing the race. He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep. The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ. The hare woke up and realized that he'd lost the race.
The moral of the story is that Slow and Steady Wins the Race
This is the version of the story that we have all grown up with. But then recently, someone told me a more interesting version of this story. It continues………………………….
The hare was disappointed at losing the race and he did some Defect Prevention (Root Cause Analysis). He realized that he'd lost the race only because he had been over confident, careless and lax. If he had not taken things for granted, there's no way the tortoise could have beaten him. So he challenged the tortoise to another race. The tortoise agreed. This time, the hare went all out and ran without stopping from start to finish. He won by several miles.
The moral of the story is that "Fast and Consistent will always Beat the Slow and Steady".
If you have two people in your organization – one slow, methodical and reliable and the other fast and still reliable at what he does, the fast and reliable chap will consistently climb the organisational ladder faster than the slow, methodical chap. It's good to be slow and steady; but its better to be fast and reliable. But the story doesn't end here.
The tortoise did some thinking this time and realized that there's no way he can beat the hare in a race the way it was currently formatted. He thought for a while and then challenged the hare to another race, but on a slightly different route. The hare agreed. They started off. In keeping with his self-made commitment to be consistently fast, the hare took off and ran top speed until he came to a broad river. The finishing line was a couple of kilometers on the other side of the river. The hare sat there wondering what to do. In the meantime, the tortoise trundled along, got into the river, swam to the opposite bank, continued walking and finished the race.
The moral of the story is that "First Identify your Core Competency and then Change the Playing Field to Suit your Core Competency".
In an organisation, if you are a good speaker, make sure you create opportunities to give presentations that enable the senior management to notice you.
The story still hasn't ended!
The hare and the tortoise, by this time, had become pretty good friends and they did some thinking together. Both realised that the last race could have been run much better. So they decided to do the last race again but to run as a Team this time. They started off and this time the hare carried the tortoise till the riverbank. Then the tortoise took over and swam across with the hare on his back. On the opposite bank, the hare again carried the tortoise and they reached the finishing line together. They both felt a greater sense of satisfaction than they'd felt earlier.
The moral of the story is that "It's Good to be Individually Brilliant and to have Strong Core Competencies; but unless you're able to Work in a TEAM and HARNESS, each other's Core Competencies you'll always perform below par because there will always be Situations at which you'll do Poorly and Someone else does well. TEAM WORK is mainly about Situational Leadership, letting the person with the Relevant Core Competency for a Situation Take Leadership".
There are more lessons to be learnt from this story.
Ø Note that neither the hare nor the tortoise gave up after failures. The hare decided to work harder and put in more effort after his failure.
Ø The tortoise changed his strategy because he was already working as hard as he could. In life, when faced with failure, sometimes it is appropriate to work harder and put in more efforts.
Ø Sometimes it is appropriate to change strategy and try something different. And sometimes it is appropriate to do both.
Ø The hare and the tortoise also learnt another vital lesson. When we stop competing against a Rival and instead start Competing against the Situation, WE PERFORM FOR BETTER.

Diksha and the Hormones
In this post i want to share with u about the writings of Christian Opitz about Diksha And the Harmones.
| Until now, I(Christian Opitz) mostly emphasized the effect of diksha on various brain centers in my writings. An equally important aspect of the process of awakening the brain is the change in hormone and neurotransmitter production. I would like to give an overview of some of the significant changes in regards to hormones and neurotransmitters that I have found in people who have been receiving diksha for a while. First, let's take a look at some of the important neurochemicals and their effect on our experience of life: Dopamine : Produced in the substantia nigra in the mid-brain, this important neurotransmitter is almost always out of balance in modern people. We need sufficient dopamine to feel alive, vibrant, to be able to concentrate and have good discernment. Lack of dopamine leads to boredom, depression, brain fog, one merely exists but is not truly alive. This in turn leads to cravings for dopamine stimulation, mostly through destructive means. Intense but short-lived dopamine stimulants are, for example, cocaine, amphetamines, junk food, aggressive behaviors and conflicts with other people. Those suffering from ADD are restless and often have hyper aggressive tendencies because they are desperately trying to stimulate some dopamine production. Too much dopamine at once leads to a dulling of the dopamine receptors and that in turn has undesirable consequences. Delusions, including hallucinations that are mistaken for genuine mystical experiences, often go together with prolonged overproduction of dopamine. People addicted to computer games have similar dopamine imbalances, which shows an interesting correlation between the addictions to virtual realities, whether on a computer screen or on the screen of one's own mind. In some people, excessive dopamine can lead to stuttering. People who stutter usually have twice as much dopamine in their system than average people. It is easy to see that for a balanced spiritual awakening, we want a consistent level of dopamine without the detrimental effects of extreme highs and lows. A consistent dopamine production goes hand in hand with awakened frontal lobes, which Bhagavan associates with God-Realization. Given the fact that dopamine is essential to feel truly alive, it makes sense that we need it to also feel the Source of all life. Oxytocin : Oxytocin is the hormone of love, open-heartedness and gratitude. Happily married people produce more oxytocin, but relationship stress severely decreases it. Oxytocin is the neurochemical foundation for compassion, for truly caring for others. When we care for others, we ourselves are rewarded many times over, because oxytocin regenerates he body and induces a very deep sense of well-being. Love is great health insurance because of oxytocin. Indifference and cruelty are accompanied by very low levels of this hormone. I assume that these biochemical facts are one of the reasons behind Bhagavan's emphasis on setting right relationships. The production of oxytocin is severely hindered in most people today and this often starts at birth. In the late 1940s, medicine began to use drugs at birth as if it were some kind of disease. Among those drugs, petocin (synthetic oxytocin) is used to induce contractions and thus birth, on the hospital's schedule instead of following the natural interaction between baby and mother. Whenever we receive a huge dose of a synthetic version of a hormone, our receptors are overwhelmed and the body's own production can be compromised. If this happens at birth, there can be permanent damage and a life-long pattern of producing too little oxytocin. It does not help much that the most important bonding phase between mother and child right after birth has become a medical procedure of taking blood, measuring the baby, cutting the umbilical cord too early and not allowing the baby a direct bonding with the mother and thus a gentle entrance into this world. The combination of petocin and the lack of empathy for the newborn baby in medicalized birth procedures is almost certain to severely compromise oxytocin production. It is interesting to note that heavy drug use at birth, from petocin to pain killers to even some psychedelic substances that are no longer used, was introduced after WWII. When the first generation of babies who came into this world on drugs had arrived at young adulthood in the 1960s, they where the first generation to seek a deeper meaning of life through drugs. I believe the lack of natural oxytocin caused by drug use at the entrance into life can set up a strong recapitulation pattern of seeking life through drugs. Cortisol : The opposite of oxytocin, in terms of effects on our life experience, is cortisol, the stress and death hormone. We need cortisol in life-threatening situations, but, as Dr. Hans Selye discovered, we tend to overproduce it much of the time when there is no threat to survival in sight. On cortisol, all of life takes on the quality of struggle, including relationships and even the spiritual search. Cortisol activates the parietal lobes, which are supposed to give us a sense of our physical boundaries. When overactive, this sense of physical separateness is extended to our general experience of ourselves and we then feel existentially separate. This is at least part of the reason why Bhagavan emphasizes the deactivation of the parietal lobes. Cortisol makes us walk around with chronically over activated parietal lobes. In that state, we are not able to feel our feelings fully, to embrace ourselves as we are. Being in the here and now, being in the flow, requires abundant oxytocin, sufficient dopamine and low levels of cortisol. The Effects of Diksha : Although it is very difficult to measure hormones and neurotransmitters in the brain directly, electromagnetic signature testing allows for some conclusions about the effects of diksha in this regard. One of the main effects I have found with people who have been receiving diksha for a year or longer is a regeneration of receptors for both dopamine and oxytocin. This automatically leads to greater efficiency of these neurochemicals and a decrease in cortisol production. Diksha can also regenerate the substantia nigra, where dopamine is produced, and this directly shows up in changed electromagnetic brain patterns. Many times I have observed a natural release of addictive patterns through diksha that were clearly related to low dopamine levels. Another interesting parameter is the electromagnetic communication between the brain and the heart. This seems to progressively get stronger in people through diksha and is one of the most important energetic correlation' s of the flowering of the heart and true compassion. In some of the Dasas and in Ron Roth, this connection was off the charts when I measured them. Oxytocin is the biochemical bridge between the brain and heart. From the data I have gathered so far, diksha seems to be effective in strongly enhancing oxytocin in the vast majority of people. I also believe that this is one of the aspects of birth trauma that can be healed through diksha and that this effect makes diksha so worthwhile for children. Even though children are not supposed to enter into an enlightenment process, growing up with lots of oxytocin will give them a much more beautiful life experience. Finally, the neurochemical effects of diksha are one reason why other methods people utilize for inner transformation can become so much more effective when people receive diksha. If someone does not need meditation anymore to lower cortisol, meditation can go to much deeper levels right away. If emotional or physical healing work is done on a person who already has high levels of oxytocin, the receptivity to receive healing is enhanced. The synergy of diksha with specific methods of inner transformation is a fascinating subject for more exploration and the role of neurochemicals is essential for the effects such synergies produce. * * * * * * * * |

The human body energy centers - amazing!

Your thoughts can change your DNA
In this post I want to share with u an insight that "Your thoughts can change your DNA"
Thoughts are energy. Actions are energy. Your entire life is filled with energy frequencies. Pay careful attention to what you project into the world. Thoughts are can be very powerful attractors. A recent study shows just how powerful we really are at the basic level of our mere thoughts.
There is now scientific evidence proving just how important our thoughts can be to health and personal wellbeing.
Recent studies show that DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies WITHOUT cutting out and replacing single genes.
Our DNA is not only responsible for the construction of our body but it also serves as data storage and communication. This is an important key to changing our DNA structures.
We only use 10% of our DNA for building proteins in the body. It is this subset of DNA that is of interest to western researchers and is being examined and categorized. The other 90% are considered "junk DNA". But is it really "junk" or useless DNA?
The Russian linguists found that the genetic code, especially in the apparently useless 90%, follows the same rules as all our human languages. To this end they compared the way in which words are put together to form phrases and sentences, the study of meaning in language forms and the basic rules of grammar.
They found that the alkalines of our DNA follow regular grammar and do have set rules just like our languages. This discovery proves a point that human languages did not appear coincidentally but are a reflection of our inherent DNA.Scientists have managed, for example, to modulate certain frequency patterns onto a laser ray and with it influenced the DNA frequency and thus changed the genetic information itself.
Since the basic structure of DNA-alkaline pairs and of language (as explained earlier) are of the same structure, no DNA decoding is necessary. One can simply use words and sentences of the human language!
This, too, was experimentally proven! Living DNA substance will always react to language-modulated laser rays and even to radio waves, if the proper frequencies are being used. This finally and scientifically explains why affirmations, hypnosis and the like can have such strong effects on humans and their bodies.
We now know that it is entirely normal and natural for our DNA to react to language. Imagine how easily it would make it to repair genetic defects such as Downs Syndrome. While a western researcher cut single genes from the DNA strands and inserted them elsewhere, the Russians enthusiastically worked on devices that can influence the cellular metabolism through suitable modulated radio and light frequencies and thus repair genetic defects.
Esoteric and spiritual teachers have known for ages that our body is programmable by language, words and thought. This has now been scientifically proven and explained. Of course the frequency has to be correct. And this is why not everybody is equally successful or can do it with always the same strength. The individual person must work on the inner processes and maturity in order to establish a conscious communication with the DNA.
However, Russian researchers are working on a method that is not dependent on these factors but will ALWAYS work, provided one uses the correct frequency. If done, many of the world's illnesses could be cured with frequency alone. An amazing and startling discovery!
The more developed an individual's consciousness is, the less need is there for any type of device! One can achieve these results by oneself, and science will finally stop laughing at such ideas and will confirm and explain the results. Scientists also found out that our DNA can also cause disturbing patterns in the quantum vacuum, thus producing magnetized wormholes!
These are tunnel connections between entirely different areas in the universe through which information can be transmitted outside of space and time.
Your DNA attracts these bits of information and passes them on to our consciousness. This process of hypercommunication is most effective in a state of relaxation.
Stress and worries block effective or successful hypercommunication It distorts the information making it useless to us.
As we initiate greater individual consciousness, we can create a new form of group consciousness, namely one, in which we attain access to all the group's information via our DNA.
We now know that just as on the internet our DNA can feed its proper data into the network, can call up data from the network and can establish contact with other participants in the network.
Remote healing, telepathy or "remote sensing" about the state of relatives etc. can thus be explained. Some animals know also from afar when their owners plan to return home. That can be freshly interpreted and explained via the concepts of group consciousness and hypercommunication.
Any collective consciousness cannot be sensibly used over any period of time without a distinctive individuality. Otherwise we would revert to a primitive herd instinct that is easily manipulated.
Hypercommunication in the new millennium means something quite different: Researchers think that if humans with full individuality would regain group consciousness, they would have a god-like power to create, alter and shape things on Earth! AND humanity is collectively moving toward such a group consciousness of the new kind.
These discoveries will change the face of our understanding our physiology and how we perceive the capabilities of us as individuals.
Spiritual growth seems to be the key component. Since this is a primarily focus of many individual's today, you can see just how important this really is.
So start working with and perceive your thoughts as a tool you're your transformation. Your thoughts can become a powerful force for change in your spiritual awareness and growth.
While doing so, remind yourself that you have the power to change the world - simply one thought at a time.
Concentration by Acharya Vimal Kirthi ji
In this post I want to share with u about the divine teaching by Acharya Vimal Kirthi ji (Director,Oneness University) on CONCENTRATION.
"One can't increase concentration directly rather one
can identify distractions and after removing all identified
distractions what is left is pure CONCENTRATION".
Mind is always associated with a pool of thoughts. And, "thought is
just a THOUGHT, there is neither a good thought nor a bad thought."
Every thought is capable enough to give a psychological pleasure. This
is very important to understand that since every thought is
pleasurable, one can be diverted from PRESENCE.
What is PRESENCE? If one is doing what one is supposed to do at a
given instant of time, one is said to be in PRESENCE.
What one is supposed to do at a given point of time is highly
individual matter and that's why one can choose which thought is of
prime importance at that very given point of time. Once the thought of
prime importance is chosen, rest all thoughts are distractions at that
very moment.
For an instance, one is studying. One may get a thought of what had
happened yesterday. At the same time, one may get another thought of
doing something, which is supposed to be done tomorrow. In a similar
fashion many other thoughts would be coming. What is happening here,
one is not in present. One needs to remove the distraction one by one.
How???
Remember, "To see itself is to be free!". One need to just tell oneself
that this particular thought is a distraction. This is a kind of
trick, when one says, "this thought is a distraction for me",
awareness comes in a very natural manner, and one is free from that
very distraction (thought). There is no need to struggle with
thoughts, all attempts to push the thoughts out of the mind is futile.
It will not work, because this is how mind functions or one can say
this is the nature of the mind.
One can get rid of thought(s) only through bringing awareness and
understanding that any thought can take away from the prime business
or prime focus.
I do agree with the people who say, "there are lots and lots of
thoughts pour in... every moment and ...when there is so much of
distractions... If one tries also to see each distraction and remove
it one by one will consume a lot of time to bring the state of pure
concentration Is there any short-cut?".
The answer is "No, there is no short-cut, one need to see each and
every distraction one by one only". This is a kind of practice and
gradually one will be able do it within no time. In case, one is
unable to do so, definitely there are several other aspects, which
need to be resolved, and for such cases Oneness University is the best
place. However, I am sure, each one of us can make an attempt to apply
this knowledge here itself and see the difference.

Accepting Oneself
In this post I want to share with u the divine teaching by SHRI BHAGWAN about ACCEPTANCE.
All that you can do is, you can see what is there, first of all, you do not know what is there. Because all the years you have been running away from it, see everywhere you find only the self. So you come to know, now there is an indirect way of knowing, but then to actually look at it is painful. To look at your envious thoughts, your jealous thoughts, your fearful thoughts, your anxious thoughts, is not such a good experience. That all the time you are running away from it.
That is the only problem which man has got. So, because we are telling you, look, turn around, confront it, look at it, then may be you will say let me try. Initially it could be difficult, but then you will soon realize it is very tempting. It is very nice to see, as you see your darker side, your negative side, strangely you will stop condemning, you will know that is true, along with that comes joy also and with that joy you will soon find that there is absence of conflict. Not that your negative side has gone, not that you cease to be jealous, cease to be angry, cease to be fearful, no no no no not those things. You are for the first time in your life able to say, yes I am this I am not ashamed of it that is the only truth, I am being truthful.
That is when you have taken the first step in spirituality that is also the last step, there after everything is automatic. No guru is required, no teaching is required, it is all automatic. You think there is some thing you can do to get there. There is nothing you can do to get there. If you are a jealous person, you are not going to become non jealous. If you are fearful person, you are not going to become courageous like the lion. If you are a depressed person, you are not going to go into euphoria. You cannot change, try as you might, you cannot change. So what is the teaching here. The teaching says you cannot change, and there is no need to change, because you have been designed like that, you are that, that is all that is the only teaching.
Therefore you accept, Aa Ah! I cannot change, what is there to do, nothing to do. There is nothing wrong like that, I have been designed like that, you did not design yourself, God designed you like that, he has some purpose in designing you. So there is complete acceptance, when you accept what is there, that is meditation, that is sadhana, that is all, so it is very simple, please do it, I will help you.

Relationships
In this post I want to share with about "RELATIONSHIP" and its importance in one's life.
Relationships are like a tangled ball of wool. The more you try to disentangle them, the more entangled they become. Ramesh was at his wits ends. Life had become a tight rope act. His busy schedule barely gave him breathing time, and even the few minutes he had were spent in futile mental activity. “How do I keep all these people happy? No matter what I do my wife always has a long list of complaints. My children constantly bicker that I don’t understand them, I don’t give them freedom. My mother is so hostile, anybody would think I am hatching a secret conspiracy to throw her out”.
Too many people lead unhappy lives just like Renuka’s, due to their inability to deal with others. While they understand the importance of having successful relationships, they aren’t able to do so. It is a source of tremendous frustration to a person and drains away all his energy, when in spite of his best efforts the relationship remains unresolved.
One of the core teachings of Sri Bhagavan is to set right relationships. Sri Bhagavan says, “Life is Relationships”. Your very existence is relative to the existence of the other. Your very identity comes from you relationships. You are the son or daughter of somebody, the wife of somebody, the brother of somebody or the employee or the employer of somebody. Take away all this and there remains no identity, no person.
Also the amount of happiness experienced is directly proportional to the state of your relationships. The better your relationships, the happier you are. A happy person is one who spreads happiness. An unhappy person only creates mischief and more often than not makes trouble for the family and society at large.
The teaching of Sri Bhagavan offer the seeker many insights into life to set right relationships. Let us look into a few.
Listening
“I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant”. This is an amusing statement; and it does make people laugh, but unfortunately, it is not far from the truth in describing how we humans frequently communicate with one another.
Failure to listen brings unfortunate results. Listening is very different from hearing. In hearing the sound of the words reaches the eardrum. In listening you are paying complete attention to what the other is saying, without the commentaries of the mind interfering in the process. But much of the time, you are not listening to the other; rather you are listening to what you mind is talking about the other. Hence, a simple, ‘try to come early from work’, is translated as, ‘my wife is a big nag’; a concerned, ‘don’t forget to take you sweater, it’s chilly outside’, is interpreted as ‘she still thinks I am a child, am I not grown enough to take care of myself?” An unassuming ‘don’t spend too much money’, irritates you to think, ‘why is my father trying to control me, I want my freedom’.
What Interferes with Listening?
1. A feeling of I know what he/she is saying.
Very often you feel that I know this person very well, I know how he responds to situations, and I know all the emotions and thoughts he is capable of. And because you feel you already know what the person is going to say, or is saying, you barely pay attention. In fact your replies are ready even before the person has finished what he/she has to say. Many a times, you don’t even wait for the person to finish speaking; you interrupt with you answers. Have you never heard the complaint, ‘please listen to me for once’; but then your standard defense is. ‘Hey! I know what you are going to say’. With such an attitude, what happens over a period of time is, conversation is reduced to a bare minimum, and even when things are said there is always a feeling of inadequacy and a constant feeling of alienation.
Marriages fall apart, children and parents are alienated, friendships fail and business deals do not come off simply because people do not listen to others, although they think they do.
Shridha a busy executive from the national capital always felt that she knew the needs of her teenage daughter and she was doing all that she could for her. But no matter how hard she tried every conversation ended in an argument. Desperate for a solution she enrolled for the 3-day course on enlightenment. Insights poured into her as she realized that she always presumed what her daughter needed, and she only told her things, never listened to her. ‘I am your mother, learn to listen to me’, was the only explanation offered. She realized how unheard and misunderstood her daughter felt. This insight led to deep change in attitude. Today Shridha and her daughter enjoy a complete relationship.
2. Turning the speakers off and dwelling on the plethora of internal distractions we all have.
‘Why have you put on such a blank expressions, do you understand what I am saying? Oh! You are always lost in you thoughts, do listen to me’. If you frequently get to listen to such complaints you belong to this category of people. Many of you feel, what the other is speaking is of no importance; he/she has a habit of speaking, hence is speaking; you become careless about listening. You are too involved in various issues within you own mind to pay attention, and your issues are more important than any other conversation. Of course excessive stress and strain, frustration or worry too leads to exhibition of such behaviour. At that point paying attention is an energy consuming experience, and you would rather sort out your own thoughts, or continue with your own activity.
It took a rude shock for Kirit to realize his errors. The signs had been there for long. His children barely spoke to him and preferred the company of their mother. Telephone conversations with his parents were few and rare and all dialogues with his wife were restricted to monosyllables. Out of the blue his wife, who was vacationing with her parents, sent him a divorce notice. He ran helter-skelter to Amma and Bhagavan for help. In the course of a Samskara Suddi, Bhagavan put him through the shoes of all his near and dear ones. Being a reputed scientist, he barely spoke to anybody and was continually lost in his own thoughts. He considered any conversation other that ones that stimulated him intellectually to be beneath him. As he experienced the pain and agony of his wife and children, he changed. With the Grace of Amma and Bhagavan, his wife returned to him. Today he is an attentive husband and a loving father. His wife is indebted to Bhagavan.
3. Labeling.
The arguments had reached gigantic proportions. It was a veritable slinging match between Sarita and Amol. Accusations flew back and forth. It seemed like the end of 8-year-old relationship. Amol and Sarita had been married for less than a year after a 7 yearlong courtship. They had a beautiful relationship, but marriage had changed all that. Right from day one, their marriage was in doldrums. He was suspicious of every things she did and she found him totally obnoxious. As days passed it became intolerable for both of them to live together, divorce seemed the only way out. They were brought to the ashram by some well-wishers. During the process that they underwent, Bhagavan revealed to them the cause of their problems. The day of their marriage had been very hectic as they had to leave immediately the very next day to the USA. Sarita’s parents had brought them home after the ceremony and had asked their maid to serve Amol his food as they had been busy packing for their daughters departure. Amol had felt deeply insulted, that they were treating their NRI son-in-law this way. He had become suspicious of their motives, but then with all the chaos, things had been seemingly forgotten. But then grudge had taken deep roots. Unconsciously he started suspecting every move of Sarita. All her professions of love now seemed false and shallow. He became a nagging complaining husband. Sarita in turn, hurt by his needless criticism had labeled him as a heartless tyrant. Both remained stubborn in their views, the relationship was broken.
The nature of the mind is to label every person with every experience and then that perception prevails in every interaction. Every time the person speaks or does something it is not perceived as a unique action, but is judged from the previous perspective. If the perception is negative, then however good the act, it would seem wrong, and the negative perception would only be strengthened. In this condition, it becomes impossible to listen to anything that the person says, as you would be only listening to your mind commenting about that person; ‘he is bad, she is a nag, he doesn’t understand me, she is too suspicious, they don’t love me, and so on and on forth’. When you don’t listen, it is improbable that you would ever be able to understand that person or see him in new light. Nothing new can ever happen in that relationship. This is akin to wearing colored glasses. Everything that you see would be coloured, but you would continue to think that the fault lies with the other.
How Does One Develop Listening
Good listening has important value and can be learned and improved to yield enormous benefits. It takes effort but everyone can and should learn to do it.
The first thing is to know a simple fact that when you are talking, you are not listening. Become aware of the constant urge to talk and then you would automatically move into the listening mode.
Maintain eye contact with the person you are listening to. No matter how trivial you feel the matter may be, it is vital that you pay full attention to the other. The constant chattering of a child may be irritating to the parent, but in the perspective of the child it would account to how much the parent loves her.
As you are speaking to the person, become aware of the constant chattering of your mind, the judgement, the labeling, the perceptions that you hold. See how harmful they are, see how they are destroying your relationships, and in turn destroying you. As you see the harmful nature of labeling, it would automatically lose charge. Listening would then happen to you.
Sri Bhagavan says; don’t try to practice listening, only become aware that you are not listening. In the awareness listening would be a happening.
Ultimately, if all this does not work, seek for GRACE. Amma and Bhagavan are here to help you move into a state of listening, where your mind would no longer interfere in any experience. All past perceptions would be rendered charge less, every experience would be new and fresh.
Such a state is bestowed to all seekers in the courses that happens every week at the Oneness University at Golden City.

SHRI BHAGWAN saying about "Carry Over"
In this post i want to share with u the divine teaching by SHRI BHAGWAN on carry over.
"A Sadhak once asked his teacher, "Master, Why can't I remain peaceful, in spite of doing so many spiritual sadhanas. Why can't I be devoid of suffering in spite of reading so many spiritual books and listening to religious discourses? Is enlightenment possible for such as I?"
'To be liberated from suffering you must first understand what suffering is'. Sri Bhagavan says, "Suffering is nothing but the continuous thought processing that happens in the mind over an event or incident of the past. Suffering is nothing but the 'carry over' of the past events of our life.
There are two kinds of people who have walked on these sands, enlightened and unenlightened. Enlightened ones are those who are 'ordinary' and unenlightened are those who are 'extraordinary' (extra suffering). An enlightened one, does not suffer because he is constantly living in the present, experiencing every bit of what life is offering him. But for those who are unenlightened, life itself is reduced to nothing but suffering.
To be aware is to be enlightened. The whole purpose of life itself is to live life moment to moment. If one observes the thought process in oneself, then it can easily be discovered that the 'CARRY OVER' is the suffering. For instance, there were two friends who were very close right from their childhood. Out of sheer misunderstanding, they landed in a bitter quarrel and they broke up. The fight by itself is nothing but mere 'calling names'. But it doesn't end there, the event continues to plague the mind, be it at kitchen, office, watching TV or even at a party! It follows… It continues. The suffering springs only when our mind indulges in unnecessary thoughts about living in past or future, without living in the present. This constant commentary or dialogue in the mind is the cause for all suffering, where even after an event has ended, it is continued within where we still talk to the other person, who has hurt us.
An enlightened person experiences everything, which makes his life rich, eternal and ever fresh, but for an unenlightened, life is mechanical and repetitive, hence boring. One who is enlightened enjoys the ice cream whereas one who is unenlightened does not enjoy the ice cream because he would be busy with the question – who made the ice cream? Which factory? Which cow's milk? Which grass did the cow ate? One who is living will never question the purpose of life. Why would he! He is only experiencing.
Now the question is how to end this unnecessary thought process. Any effort in this direction is a futile endeavour, because any effort to silence the mind would only create more noise - "THOUGHT CANNOT END THOUGHT".
Buddha was Buddha not because he read books. Venkataramana didn't become Ramana Maharishi because he attended religious discourses. Enlightenment is something that is beyond the purview of the mind. It is not transformation within the mind; Enlightenment is a state where you transcend the mind and its limitations. Such a happening is a benediction.
"To experience is to believe.' Enlightenment is a benediction bestowed today upon thousands by Sri Bhagavan and Sri Padmavathi Devi.
Come! Alive into the waters of immense grace and experience, because…..
"Man cannot make it on His own … It has to be given to Him."
